Does your stomach hurt? Does your son have a weird rash? What happens during the procedure you’re scheduled for? Questions like these would usually mean calling your provider or putting in a Google search. Until now. Hannibal Regional Healthcare System is pleased to announce the launch of “Healthy Living” resources which include online health and wellness education on the Hannibal Regional Medical Group, Hannibal Regional Hospital and
James E. Cary Cancer Center websites.
Online “Healthy Living” resources will provide robust online information to team members and consumers served by the System, and empowers individuals to lead healthier lives. “Healthy Living” will allow visitors to the HRMG and HRH websites access to consumer health articles to help them understand diseases and conditions, general wellness, prepare for surgeries, tests and procedures, as well as learn about emergency care for poisons or injuries. In addition, health assessments will be available for consumers to participate in to be proactive in identifying potential health risks.
“The Marketing team, with Tracy Fountain as project coordinator, has done an awesome job evaluating online resources to enhance the organization’s current web content and provide educational information and wellness opportunities to consumers,” stated Lydia M. Pope, Director - System Relations. “All of these tools will assist with tailoring education and service information to best meet individual health needs.”
Initial “Healthy Living” resources are being made available through A.D.A.M., a company which provides online health information, imagery and tools for business, healthcare and education markets. A.D.A.M. tools engage consumers to better understand their health, wellness choices, and provides the tools to help make personalized health decisions.
