Ophthalmologist Joins Hannibal Regional Medical Group Vision Institute

Gary Bodiford, M.D., Ophthalmologist, has joined the Hannibal Regional Medical Group Vision Institute. 

Dr. Bodiford received his Medical Degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Services. He completed an Internship at the University Hospital and VA Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas and a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.  Most recently he was the General Ophthalmologist and founder of Bodiford Eye Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas where he performed over 5,000 LASIK procedures.  Dr. Bodiford is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.  

"Gary Bodiford, MD will bring a full-time ophthalmology presence to Hannibal as a seasoned, well-trained surgeon and clinician," commented Richard Draper, D.O., Hannibal Regional Medical Group Medical Director.  "His skills will greatly benefit regional patients.  HRMG is fortunate to be his new home."

The Hannibal Regional Medical Group Vision Institute is located within the Shinn Lane Medical Building on the hospital campus.  The Vision Institute offers full-service comprehensive eye care, with emphasis on diabetic and glaucoma management, ocular inflammation and cataract surgery.  Services include comprehensive adult and children’s eye exams, medical and surgical treatment of the cornea and eye lids and laser refractive vision correction (LASIK).  Dr. Bodiford will join Optometrists Kent Wolber, O.D. and Amy Knickerbocker, O.D. at the Vision Institute.
